Indian skipper Rohit Sharma might have not played a big role in the ongoing ODI series against West Indies. But he has made sure that he keeps a keen eye on what his players are doing to prepare themselves for the major events coming up.

In the build-up to the third ODI, skipper Rohit Sharma was seen giving insights to Sanju Samson after the keeper batter completed his net session. The senior batter was seen pointing out some things in his batting and spent quite a few minutes with him.

In the video that has gone viral on the internet, Sanju Samson can be seen timing the ball perfectly and playing attacking strokes. But despite his batting positively, Rohit Sharma had some suggestions to share. The video went viral on the internet in no time with many fans applauding the skipper for his gestures.

Here’s the video:

Sanju Samson didn’t have a great outing in the second game as he was back in the hut for 9 runs in 19 balls. He wasn’t picked in the team for the first game and that saw many backlashing India for not playing him. He has been exceptional in the ODIs and it’s fair to say that he could be well in plans for the World Cup.

Skipper Rohit Sharma’s advice seems to be working for Sanju Samson as he has batted exceptionally well in the ongoing third ODI against West Indies. The keeper batter came out with positive intent and took the bowlers to the cleaners from the start of his innings.

Sanju Samson slammed a blistering half-century and provided the Indian team with momentum. With the way he has batted in the ongoing game, it’s fair to say that he might have given selectors a headache. With no certainty about the return of KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, he can travel with Team India to Sri Lanka for Asia Cup 2023.
