Yashasvi Jaiswal is making his T20I debut in the ongoing third T20I against West Indies at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The young batter replaced Ishan Kishan in the team as the keeper-batter failed to make a mark in the first two games.

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav made the debut of Yashasvi Jaiswal even more special after his heartfelt speech while presenting the young batter his T20I cap. The senior player urged him to be fearless and remarked that it’s his pleasure to give a cap to a Test player.

“Congratulations for another feather in your journey. I’m sure you have waited for a very long time to earn this and It’s my pleasure to give a cap to a Test player. Everyone knows about your journey, story, it’s been inspirational.

Everyone is going to be standby for you in the ground irrespective of what happens there. Go out there and enjoy. Be yourself, be fearless,” he said.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was included in the team after his rollicking performances in the IPL. The Rajasthan Royals opener set the stage on fire and amassed 625 runs in the 14 innings that he played this year. He scored runs with an average of 48.08 and a strike rate of 163.61. Not only this he blasted five half-centuries and a hundred as well this season. His impressive performance saw him winning the Emerging Player of the Tournament award.

Yashasvi Jaiswal recently made his Test debut as well on the same tour. He shined in the longest format of the game as well as he smashed a gigantic century on his maiden outing and then smashed a half-century in the second Test match.
