Yashasvi Jaiswal has had a good start to his international career. After scoring a Test century on his Test debut, the Southpaw has now scored his maiden T20I fifty in just his second match. His unbeaten knock helped India draw level in the series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill (77) added 165 for the first wicket in a chase of 179 in the fourth T20I. The southpaw was also awarded the Man of the Match as he surpassed Rohit Sharma to become the youngest Indian batter to score a T20I fifty.

The southpaw while speaking after the game dismissed comparisons of him and Gill with Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Jaiswal was quick to admit that they are veterans and legends of the game while they are just getting started in their respective careers.

“What they (Rohit and Shikhar) have done is amazing. They are legends of the game. I just think that we just need to go and try doing what we can do. We have a long way to go” said Jaiswal.

I make sure to listen to their experiences. I just try to gather as much information possible from their talks and put that in my game,” the 21-year-old said.
