India Pacer Renuka Singh Named ICC Emerging Women's Cricketer Of The Year

Indian Women’s Cricket Team bowler Renuka Singh was on a roll in the 2022 Calendar Year. The right-arm pacer took 18 wickets in the ODIs at a strike rate of 14.88 and with an economy of 4.62. Renuka was a part of the ODI Series triumph against England where India won the series by 2-1.
The speedster beat Australia’s Darcie Brown, England’s Alice Capsey, and her teammate Yastika Bhatia to become the Emerging Women’s Cricket of the Year. The 26-year-old fast bowler has become an inseparable part of the team in a short span of time.

Renuka Singh Dazzles in T20I format
Renuka Singh took 22 T20I wickets in the 2022 year at a strike rate of 23.95 with an economy of 6.50. Renuka played a key role in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Renuka had taken a 4-wicket haul and given away 18 runs against the mighty Aussies in the league stage match.

Steep Challenge Ahead for India
The Women in Blue would be keen to win their maiden T20 World Cup. This is the first time, T20 World Cup is going to take place in South Africa where we can expect competitive contests.
