Suryakumar Yadav was in sublime form in the 2022 calendar year. The scintillating right-handed batter scored 1164 runs with a strike rate of 187.43 as he struck 9 half centuries & 2 centuries. The batter was whacking the bowlers all around the park.

Suryakumar Yadav has become an inseparable part of the team. The batter recently thrashed Lankan bowlers where the opposition looked clueless. The 32-year-old batter would rue the fact that he couldn’t help the Indian cricket team win the T20 WC as India lost against England in the Semis.

BCCI posted a video where Suryakumar Yadav made some interesting comments on the award. “Thank you so much ICC for naming me ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year. It’s a great feeling and 2022 has been amazing for me from personal point of view, I really enjoyed few knocks I played in that year and if I had to pick one knock which was specially very close to me was my first hundred for the country because first hundred is always special and hopefully many more knocks to come,” said Suryakumar Yadav.

Australian Women’s Cricket Team’s Tahlia McGrath won the ICC Women’s T20 Cricketer of the Year award. The all-rounder pipped Smriti Mandhana as last year, Smriti had won the award. Tahlia has been an inseparable part of the Australian Cricket Team.

Tahlia McGrath scored 435 runs in 16 matches with an average of 62.14 and took 13 scalps. The all-rounder played a vital role in the 2022 Commonwealth Games where Aussies won the championship. In the recently concluded India T20I Series, Tahlia was quite ruthless in her approach.
