India takes on Australia in a crucial Super 8 game in St Lucia on Monday, June 24. India along with  South Africa are the only two unbeaten teams so far in the tournament. Australia's winning runs came to end end with a shocking loss to Afghanistan in the previous game by 27 runs.

 India so far have won against Ireland, Pakistan, USA, and Afghanistan, Their match against Canada was abandoned due to rain They were in a bit of a bother against Afghanistan, losing the openers quickly but SKY and Hardik Pandya took them to safety. 

Openers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be in focus when India takes on Australia in their final Super 8 game on Monday. Another major point of discussion might be Shivam Dube's spot in the Xi.

The likes of Sanju Samson and even Rinku Singh are waiting in the wings. Ravindra Jadeja has not been as useful with the bat as in the other two formats for India and hence there are a few spots to be discussed.

The bowling lineup is well sorted with Jasprit Bumrah leading the way along with Mohd Siraj and Arshdeep Singh. Kuldeep is expected to play games in the turning tracks of West Indies. Yuzvendra Chahal can break into the XI in place of someone like Ravindra Jadeja.

Rohit Sharma (C)

Rohit will open the batting for India. He has not been amongst runs for his side but is just one knock away from getting back into form. 

Virat Kohli 

Kohli will open with Rohit. The move to open with Him has not worked out so far. He will have to be more aggressive with the bat. 

Rishabh Pant (WK)

Pant will slot in at three. He has already taken 10 catches in the World Cup so far and scored crucial runs for India with the bat. 

Suryakumar Yadav 

SKY will slot in at five. He scored 53 against Afghanistan and took Indoa to a decent total on the board. He has now gone past Virat Kohli in the Man of the Match award list. 

Shivam Dube 

There are talks about Dube's position as well He has largely not played an impactful knock so far in the tournament. He was out for 0 against Pakistan and for just 10 against Afghanistan. 

Hardik Pandya

Pandya will slot in at six. He scored a crucial 32 with the bat against Afghanistan and bowled two overs for just 13 runs. Hardik the all-rounder is performing for India.

Ravindra Jadeja / Yuzvendra Chahal 

Jadeja has not been useful with the bat. He has also not picked too many wickets with the ball. This is where Yuzvendra Chahal can be considered against Australia in this crucial contest.

Axar Patel 

Axar Patel can slot in at eight. He has been bowling crucial overs in the powerplay and chipping in with crucial knocks with the bat as well. In many ways, he has performed better than Jadeja until now.

Jasprit Bumrah 

Bumrah will lead the attack for India. He took three for seven off his four overs against Afghanistan. He took three wickets against Pakistan as well. So far, he has taken 8 wickets from four games. 

Arshdeep Singh 

The left-arm pacer will pair up with Bumrah from the other end. He took three wickets against Afghanistan as well. He has now taken 10 wickets from four games. 

Mohd Siraj 

Siraj will be the third seamer in the XI. He has bowled with pace and will be crucial against Australia with his ability to take the ball away from the left-handers.

Kuldeep Yadav 

Kuldeep concludes the likely playing XI against India. He played his first match of the campaign against Afghanistan and took two for 32.
