Jasprit Bumrah led India's defense against Pakistan in New York which resulted in a famous win for the Men in Blue in this T20 World Cup. Team India has now won two games on the bounce and looks good to make it to the Super 8s.

Bumrah took 3/14 as India defended their lowest total in Men's T20 World Cups. This was also the second-lowest total successfully defended against Pakistan who have a habit of panicking under pressure.  120 is also the equivalent lowest total defended successfully in T20 World Cups.

This was also the lowest total defended by India in their T20I history. Bumrah started the proceedings by dismissing Babar Azam in his first spell. He then came back to dismiss Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed in his second spell which was his match-defining spell.

There were several records broken in this India vs Pakistan match. This was a memorable match for Bumrah personally as well as he became the Man of the Match. He was also the Man of the Match after India beat Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023. He took 2/19 in that match including the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan.

Pakistan won the toss in the match and opted to bowl first. Their bowlers did a good job to bowl out India for just 119. Pakistan started cautiously in the chase. They were well-paced as long as Rizwean was at the crease and stitching small partnerships with other batters. However, his dismissal was the turning point for Pakistan's innings.

The likes of Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, and Iftikhar Ahmed, panicked under pressure as the side failed to hit any boundaries for a period of 37 deliveries. With 18 to get in the final over, Naseem Shah hit two boundaries off Arshdeep Singh's final over which was not enough.

India defended the total brilliantly under pressure and won their second game of the World Cup. This was India's seventh win over Pakistan in T20 World Cups the most by India against a particular team.

120 on that wicket turned out to be a tricky chase for Pakistan who were very much in the game after bowling out India for just 119. Once again the vulnerability of the Pakistan batting lineup was exposed by the Indian bowlers.

The side is criticised for giving it away as they failed to chase down a getable total on a wicket which behaved potentially a lot better than the previous games played on this track.

"It feels really good. We felt we were a little under and the wicket got a little better after the sun came out. We were really disciplined so it feels good. Tried to hit the seam as much as I could, tried to be as clear as I could with my execution and it all came out well so I felt happy."

"Felt like we were playing in India, really happy with the support and that gives us energy on the field. We focus on the now. We’ve played two games and played really well. You stick to your processes and look to play well" said Jasprit Bumrah after his Man of the Match performance.
