India squad for ICC World Test Championship Final 2025

ICC World Test Championship Final 2025 will be Team India's third attempt to clinch the title. India ended up runners-up in the last two editions in 2021 and 2023, losing to New Zealand and Australia respectively.

ICC World Test Championship Final 2025 will take place at Lord's in London, England. The top two teams in the ICC WTC points table after their six Test series will qualify for the final.

The Men in Blue takes the top spot with a win percentage of 68.51, winning 6 games out of 9 including 2 draws.

Rohit Sharma is the captain of Team India and will lead the side in the ICC World Test Championship Final 2025.

He is the skipper in ODIs and Tests and also executes the role of opener. The Men in Blue will form an even more powerful squad this time to clinch the trophy. Below is India's predicted squad for the WTC 2025 final.

India squad for ICC World Test Championship Final 2025

Openers- Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal

For openers, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be three good options. Sharma is an experienced opener for their team while Gill has also cemented his place.

Jaiswal is an emerging opener with a marvelous show on his debut against West Indies. Also, Gill can more down at one-down in Tests to make way for the Jaiswal-Rohit pair.

Middle-Order- Virat Kohli & Shreyas Iyer

Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer will be too great set of middle-order batters. Both are known for their patient batting approach and match-winning knocks in the red-ball format.

Also, Kohli has retired from T20Is, and ODIs and Tests are his new focus. Iyer has shown impressive performance after his comeback.

Wicket-Keepers- KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel

Wicketkeepers, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Dhruv Jurel can be part of the squad for the ICC World Test Championship 2025 final.

Pant has returned to the national team but is yet to resume his work in Tests. However, he has been an outstanding performer in the shortest format.

Dhruv Jurel was part of the England series and also played a crucial knock of 96 runs in one match.

Hence, he is also likely to get a place. KL Rahul will be useful as a backup wicketkeeper for the side. Picking him in the playing 11 will allow us a have a backup player in case of injuries.

All-Rounders- Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur

Since the ICC WTC final will be played in England, the Men in Blue can go ahead with two all-rounders- one spinner and one seamer.

Jadeja will be a key spin all-rounder, who can grab wickets and also smack centuries or fifties. Thakur will be a powerful choice of medium-pace all-rounder. He has a good record on English soil.

Spinners- Kuldeep Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin

For full-time spinners, Team India can go ahead with Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin. Both of them are leading wicket-takers for India in the Tests since the start of the ICC World Test Championship.

They also give a left-right combination. Ashwin is a premium spinner for the Test format and a good tailender option.

Pacers- Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Mukesh Kumar

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are crucial Test pacers for India and they will be confirmed members in the ICC World Test Championship Final 2025.

The other two pacers are Mohammed Siraj and Mukesh Kumar. While Siraj has shown a dominating pace attack for the last few years,

Mukesh Kumar has impressed everyone in the WTC 2023-25 cycle. He made his Test debut in the first series against West Indies.
