India U-19 World Cup Winning Captain Yash Dhull Smashes Century On Ranji Trophy Debut To Join Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma In Elite List

Young Indian batsman Yash Dhull, who recently guided India to the ICC U-19 World Cup 2022 triumph, started off his first-class career by smashing a brilliant century on his Ranji Trophy debut for Delhi at the ACA Stadium in Baraspara on Thursday against Tamil Nadu.

After his sensational century on Ranji Trophy Yash Dhull has joined the likes of legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Indian white-ball captain Rohit Sharma in the elite list of players to smash a century on the Ranji Trophy debut.

Dhull batted brilliantly in the match and he stood strong on one end despite Delhi losing some quick wickets. He added an amazing half-century partnership with Nitish and completed his half-century off 57 balls. At the score of 97 Yash Dhull got out but luckily the ball was declared no-ball and he went on to register a marvellous century in his name.

Amongst India’s last 5 U-19 World Cup captains the Delhi batsman Dhull is the 4th India U-19 captain to smash a century on his first-class debut game.

Vijay Zol smashed 110 runs on his debut in 2013, opening batsman Prithvi Shaw smashed 120 runs in 2017, Priyam Garg scored 117 runs against Goa and now Yash Dhull has smashed 113 runs.

Meanwhile, Dhull after smashing 229 runs for the India U-19 team in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2022 was bought by the Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals for INR 50 lakh at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction.

Also, Yash Dhull’s U-19 World Cup-winning teammate Raj Angad Bawa had an amazing start to his Ranji Trophy career as he bagged a wicket on his very first ball.
