Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra has said that it is a no-brainer to include Kuldeep Yadav in place of Shahbaz Nadeem in the second test against England at Chennai. Team India was surprisingly beaten convincingly in the first Test against England in their own backyard due to some world-class performances from Joe Root and James Anderson in the flat tracks at Chennai.

The injury to Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel did not help India as Nadeem and Sundar bowled too many short deliveries giving away easy runs for the English batsman. Lots of questions to answer for India in the second Test, as the two Mumbaikars Rohit and Rahane will need to pull their socks up if India has to stage a comeback in the series. India should be aware of the world Test championship qualifying chances on line and produce match-winning efforts.

Toss Will Be Immaterial On The Pitch For Next Test Opines Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra was sure that India should play Kuldeep in the playing XI for the second Test after being left out in the first Test. He also added about the toss being immaterial on a pitch in the next Test that will start turning from the first day. The first Test saw the toss being a big factor in determining the game moving in a side’s direction.

“It’s a given that Kuldeep Yadav should play in place of Nadeem in the next Test. In my opinion, he should have been played in this match as well, but they didn’t do that, which is not right but play him now,” said Aakash Chopra.

“I feel the toss will be immaterial on the pitch that will be made for the next Test match, so that the match does not go in the other team’s favour even if you lose the toss. So, expect a rank turner where the ball will turn from the very first day,” he added.

England Might Opt For Moeen Ali and Broad Feels Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra told that England will play Moeen Ali and Stuart Broad in place of Dominic Bess and One of the fast bowlers to rest them ahead of the Pink Ball Test in Ahmedabad. He also wanted Axar Patel back in the squad if he is deemed fit in place of Sundar in spite of his 85 not out in the first innings.

“I feel the opposite team will play Moeen Ali. I also feel Stuart Broad will play,”

“But in the Indian team, Kuldeep deserves to play and maybe Axar Patel in place of Washington Sundar. Although Sundar scored 85 not out, I am still saying that they may not play him in the third Test,” concluded Aakash Chopra.

India could include Kuldeep only if they manage to have an all-rounder at seven, and in the turning pitches, Axar Patel or Sundar will be preferred ahead of Hardik.
