Former India keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik provided a massive update about the weather for the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 between India and England. The match between the two teams will take place on Thursday (27th June) at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

The match between India and England is likely to be halted by the rain. The weather in Guyana is not so great and the rain is likely to play a huge part. The forecast for the match has predicted showers throughout and both teams would want to play the game and earn a spot in the semi-final.

The weather for the game between India and England has kept everyone concerned and amid all the speculations, Dinesh Karthik came up with an update about the weather. The former India cricketer is part of the commentary panel and is currently in Guyana.

In the first update, Dinesh Karthik came up with a concerning update for the fans. He posted the picture of the ground and revealed that when he was on his way to the ground, it rained heavily but the sun also was trying to come out. Taking to his Twitter account, he explained:

"Not so good at the moment 😞 Rained heavily when we were on our way and it's drizzling now  But the good news is, the. Sun is peeping out."

However, in a positive update, just after a few minutes, Dinesh Karthik revealed that the rain had stopped completely and even covers were also coming out. He stated:

"I started with bad news, but here's some good news now Sun is out and covers are being removed How QUICK was that."

The game between India and England will be the rematch of the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022. The Rohit Sharma-led side would be looking to take revenge after they faced a 10-wicket hammering at the hands of the Jos Buttler-led, who then went on to win the final as well.

If the match between India and England gets completely washed out, the Rohit Sharma-led side will be advancing into the final. This is because they had more points than England in the Super 8 stage and hence will be qualifying for the final. The winner of the game will play South Africa, who beat Afghanistan in the semi-final.

Recently reports in ESPNCricinfo, stated that the the overs will be lost after 12:10 AM (IST). The reports also claimed that the cut-off time for the start of a 10-over match will be 1:44 am IST for the Semi-Final between India vs England.
