KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah returned to the team ahead of this marquee clash. While Rahul missed the first two games with a niggle, Bumrah missed the match against Nepal due to the birth of his first child. Rahul is reportedly fit, but his place in the XI is still not confirmed after Ishan Kishan’s knock against Pakistan. Batting is still India’s biggest strength.
India were bowled out for just 266 in the previous game against Pakistan. This time the challenge will be to negate the threat of the Pakistan pacers by getting a good opening start. Rohit and Gill scored unbeaten fifties against Nepal and will be keen to give their team a good start.
In this must-win game, Virat Kohli needs to bring out his best against Pakistan. Led By Bumrah, The Indian bowlers have enough quality to bowl out Pakistan if the batters post a good total batting first. If they chase, it will revolve around the top three as well.

Pakistan will be led by Babar Azam who scored a brilliant 150 with the bat against Nepal. Their bowlers shaped up their win against Bangladesh in the previous game.
Half-centuries from Imam-Ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan took them to victory against Bangladesh where their batters were hardly tested. Against India, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah will look to replicate their performance from the first game.
However, the Indian pace battery of Bumrah, Shami, Siraj, and Shardul Thakur are expected to test the Pakistan batters. They conceded 230 runs against Nepal without Bumrah and his return will be a big boost for the Indian side.
The Indian team will have a very good chance of winning the match if they dismiss the Pakistan top order early. Fakhar Zaman is not in the best of knick at the moment which is why there is extra pressure on Imam, Babar, and Rizwan to score.
