Indian cricketers have been accused of indulging in wrong activities during abroad tours by Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's wife. However, she has craftily cleared the all-rounder's name from any such vile accusations. This clearly is a dig at the culture within the Indian Cricket Team.
Previously, the Indian cricketers were accustomed to taking their wives and families alongside them to the different nations, alongside the Indian contingent for the tours. However, the BCCI objected to such doings following the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024.
Since then, the cricketers are not allowed to travel alongside their families, and one of the cricketers' wives has revealed that they indulge in wrongdoings when on a tour to a foreign nation. It's none other than Ravindra Jadeja's MLA wife, Rivaba Jadeja.
Ravindra Jadeja's wife sparks controversy with claim of 'wrong activities' on Indian players
World Cup-winning Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's wife, Rivaba Jadeja, claimed that several Indian cricketers are known to indulge in wrongful activities when they are on foreign tours during international tournaments or series.
An old video surfaced where the cricketer's MLA wife can be noted praising her husband for his integrity, but at the same time, she also praised him for not being swept away by the negative influences. Though she did not mention names, it looked to be a very direct attack on the culture of the Indian team.
In her statements, she was very clear to mention that Jadeja could have also indulged in such activities because he is aware and also understands his responsibilities as a professional cricketer representing his nation.
Ravindra Jadeja would next be seen in the New Zealand ODIs
Undoubtedly, Ravindra Jadeja is among the greatest of all-rounders in world cricket. He represented India across all three formats of the game for over a decade and has been part of all ICC tournaments for India during this period.
The player has been renowned for his remarkable swiftness on the field, his catching ability, his efforts on the field and despite all this, his remarkable fitness. Injuries have been the rarest of concerns for the Indian great.
Jadeja, having played for India since his debut in 2009, has played 89 Tests, 207 ODIs and 74 T20Is and has amassed nearly 6500 runs in his career with 634 wickets to his name. He played for India in the South Africa ODI series and is likely to be back for the New Zealand series starting in January 2026.
Jadeja returns to the Rajasthan Royals after 15 years in the IPL
Ravindra Jadeja has been released by the Chennai Super Kings after having invested heavily in the all-rounder over the years. The great all-rounder went back to his former franchise in 2008, where he tasted success for the first time in the IPL.
Reportedly, Jadeja was very interested in the role, and he himself wanted to make a switch between the teams, as claimed by RR owner Manoj Badale. He will now be their most senior player in the side and might also be the frontrunner for captaincy in the side.
He last played for the Royals back in 2009, and this marks his return for them after 15 years spent between Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Gujarat Lions and the Chennai Super Kings. Hence, IPL 2026 marks his homecoming after an exile.
