Former Australian player Brad Hogg praised India’s pace attack in T20I format after India bagged a victory in the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka. Brad Hogg also reckoned that India will be a tough side to beat in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in IND vs SL 3rd T20I. Earlier, India defeated the visitors in the 2nd T20I by 7 wickets and 1st T20I by 62 runs. Hence, India bagged a 3-0 whitewash against Sri Lanka in the series. Indian players did a brilliant job in both batting and bowling to outplay Sri Lanka in the series.

India’s Pace Attack Depth In T20 Cricket Is Exceptional: Brad Hogg

While speaking on his Youtube channel, former Aussie spinner Brad Hogg said that India’s pace attack depth in T20 cricket is exceptional. He also said that it is tough to induct Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Deepak Chahar in the playing XI with the presence of pacers like Mohammed Siraj, Avesh Khan, and Harshal Patel.

“India’s pace attack depth in T20 cricket is exceptional. If I’m picking a team for the T20 WC for India, I’m going to find it hard to put Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Deepak Chahar in there with the way Siraj, Avesh Khan, and Harshal Patel have been bowling. They’ve got the best spin depth as well,” Brad Hogg said.

India Tough Team To Beat In T20I World Cup 2022

Brad Hogg also said that India will be a tough team to beat in ICC T20I World Cup 2022, which is slated to take place in October-November later this year.

“Kuldeep Yadav and Jadeja, very good quality bowlers, but when under pressure, opposition teams are able to get to them. When Sri Lankans swept Kuldeep, he did not really have a ball to counter that.

“When it is not turning, Jadeja sometimes bowls a little quicker, it gets easier to hit down the ground, so that’s a little area there. India are going to be tough to beat in the T20 World Cup,” Brad Hogg added.

In India vs Sri Lanka T2oI series, some young and newcomer bowlers like Avesh Khan, Mohammed Siraj, and Harshal Patel bagged a lot of limelight.

While batters bagged the limelight with big knocks, bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Japsrit Bumrah bowled some good spells to outplay Sri Lanka in the series.

India defeated Sri Lanka in IND vs SL 1st T20I by 62 runs, 2nd T20I by 7 wickets, and 3rd T20I by 6 wickets. In the 1st and 3rd T20I, India bowlers bowled brilliantly to restrict Sri Lanka to a low total of 137-6 and 146-5 respectively.
