Avesh Khan is a right-arm fast bowler who is part of the Delhi Capitals. He made his IPL debut after playing 1 match for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2017, where he accounted for 1 wicket. Since IPL 2018, Avesh Khan has been part of the Delhi Capitals. He played 6 matches in IPL 2018 and grabbed 4 wickets.

In IPL 2019 and IPL 2020, he played 1 match each in both seasons and remained wicket-less. However, he has spent a lot of time with the squad and can be chosen to replace Patel in the first match against Chennai Super Kings.

Lalit Yadav

Lalit Yadav was bought by Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020 auction but he did not play any match last season. He is an all-rounder who plays for Delhi at the domestic level. He is a right-handed batsman and off-break bowler. He has played 35 T20 matches and has 27 wickets.

In 24 List A games, he has scalped 29 wickets. In his First-Class career, he has played 12 matches and taken 9 wickets. He is a spinner which Delhi Capitals can opt to replace Axar Patel in the first match of IPL 2021.

Manimaran Siddharth

Manimaran Siddharth was bought by Delhi Capitals during IPL 2021 auction. He was part of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020 but did not play any match. He is a slow left-arm bowler like Patel. He had a good performance in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20 where he took 12 wickets.  So far M Siddharth has played 6 T20 matches and taken 16 wickets.

In his First-Class career, he has taken 10 wickets in 4 matches. He is another player who can be inducted in the playing XI of Delhi Capitals instead of Patel in the first match of IPL 2021 against Chennai Super Kings.
