Delhi Capitals have informed that Axar Patel will be fit for playing in IPL 2021 in the next 3-4 days. Axar Patel, who is part of the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021, was affected by Covid-19 ahead of the tournament. Delhi Capitals also informed that their former skipper Shreyas Iyer is in constant touch with the DC players and coach Ricky Ponting.

Delhi Capitals suffered a big blow after their skipper Shreyas Iyer suffered a shoulder injury during India vs England ODI series last month.

The serious injury needed surgery due to which Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of IPL 2021. The franchise nominated wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant as the new skipper for the team in IPL 2021. Later, the team suffered another blow after spinner Axar Patel was tested positive for Covid-19.
