Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner said that it is great to have Bhuvneshwar Kumar back in the team in IPL 2021. Bhuvneshwar Kumar played only 4 matches in IPL 2020 after sustaining a hip injury during the tournament. However, he made a comeback in the Indian team last month and played brilliantly in the ODI and T20I series against England.

Sunrisers Hyderabad made it to the playoffs in IPL 2020 last season after finishing on the 3rd spot on the points table. The David Warner-led side lost to Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2 match. Sunrisers Hyderabad have been a very consistent team in the last few IPL seasons. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the title in IPL 2016 and qualified for playoffs in every subsequent season.

Great That Bhuvi Is Back, Says David Warner

In a video shared by Sunrisers Hyderabad on their Twitter handle, David Warner said that Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a fantastic series against England and it is great to have him back in the team. He also mentioned that his team Sunrisers Hyderabad is pretty balanced for IPL 2021.

“It is great that Bhuvi is back. He has had a fantastic series against England. We have a lot of depth in bowling and firepower in batting. We are playing in Chennai in Delhi in our first 8 or 9 games. The wickets there will be tad slow which will suit our style of play. Our team is pretty balanced and there are going to be some selection headaches which is always good,” said David Warner.

Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has completed his 7-day quarantine period. The right-handed Indian pacer said that he will use his experience in IPL 2021 and focus on simple things.

“It’s good to be out of quarantine. Feels that the last IPL was just a few days back. I am not thinking of any new things but will just focus on the simple things and use my experience and bowl my variations, like that. I was not there for almost the whole IPL last year and looking forward to play the whole season this time and hopefully contribute for the team,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar said.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will start their IPL 2021 journey on April 11 (Sunday) with the first match against Kolkata Knight Riders at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Sunrisers Hyderabad have three new additions to the team in IPL 2021. The franchisee bought Kedar Jadhav, Mujeeb ur Rahman, and J Suchith during IPL 2021 auction.
