Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have won the toss in match 21 of IPL 2021 and elected to bowl first in Ahmedabad against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The first leg of IPL 2021 has finally come to an end with all the matches scheduled at Mumbai and Chennai having been completed. Now, the caravan of IPL 2021 shifts to Ahmedabad and this will be the first match of IPL being played at the newly-built Narendra Modi Stadium.
Punjab Kings have had a poor start to IPL 2021 as they have won only a couple of matches so far in the league out of the five games that they have played. They are coming from a winning momentum as they beat Mumbai Indians in the last game. KKR, on the other hand, have had the poorest start to IPL 2021 having lost 4 of the five matches that they have played so far.

Toss Could Prove To Be A Crucial Factor In The Game
It is notable that the game between PBKS and KKR will be the first IPL match in the newly-built Narendra Modi Stadium. Hence, it will be a bit difficult to assess the conditions. However, winning the toss and fielding first will always be a safe option as dew is always a consistent factor while playing in Indian conditions.

KL Rahul, the Punjab Kings captain, had a very poor outing the last time that team India played in a T20I series at the Narendra Modi Stadium against England. However, he has gained back his form in the IPL and the Punjab-based franchise can once again expect a rock-solid performance from their skipper.
