As per BCCI’s current plans, IPL 2022 auction is set to take place on February 12 and 13 next month. Bengaluru is the venue of the auction. A total of 10 teams will be part of the IPL 2022 auction, as two new teams Lucknow and Ahmedabad have been added to the tournament for the 2022 edition. As a result, IPL 2022 will be a 10-team tournament.

The old 8 teams have retained a total of 27 players in their squad for the next season. Out of these, there are 19 domestic players and 8 overseas players. The two new teams have to pick 3 players each from the draft of released players till January 22. Thereafter, the IPL 2022 mega auction will take place.
