IPL 2024: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Squad, Team List, Players List, Released Players, Retained Players List, Traded Players, Captain, Vice Captain

Lucknow Super Giants have displayed a decent show in their last two editions of the Indian Premier League. However, they have failed to win the trophy and will aim to clinch it in the IPL 2024 auction.

In their first two editions of IPL, LSG reached the playoffs. However, they failed to win the Eliminator match both times and could not reach the final. Led by KL Rahul, LSG has proved to be one of the strongest teams for the last two seasons.

Ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, LSG submitted their list of retained players to BCCI. The franchise has retained 19 players in their squad. They have retained 6 overseas players. Currently, they have Rs. 13.15 crore left in their salary purse.

Some of the key players that LSG has retained are KL Rahul, Quinton De Kock, Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis, Mark Wood, Naveen Ul Haq, Nicholas Pooran, and Ravi Bishnoi. Shockingly, the franchise has retained Deepak Hooda who came up with a miserable batting show last season.

To add might to their batting, Lucknow Super Giants have also added Devdutt Padikkal to their squad as a trade. They exchanged pacer Avesh Khan with Rajasthan Royals for the same.

Among the released players, Jaydev Unadkat and Karun Nair are two well-known players. LSG has released 8 players from their squad, keeping most of the key players. Now, the KL Rahul-led side has vacancies for 6 more players, out of which 2 can be overseas.

LSG Released Players Ahead Of IPL 2024 

Lucknow has released 8 players from their squad ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Out of those, there is only 1 foreign player and 7 Indian players.

KL  Rahul is the skipper of LSG. There were rumors of him moving to RCB. However, these reports came out to be false. Hence, he will lead the team in IPL 2024 as well. Krunal Pandya is the vice-captain of the team.
