IPL 2024: Romario Shepherd Wants To Follow In The Footsteps Of Dwayne Bravo And Kieron Pollard For Mumbai Indians

West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd expressed his excitement about joining the Mumbai Indians (MI) for the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Romario Shepherd said that he is excited to be a part of one of the most successful teams in the IPL.
Mumbai Indians have initiated the IPL 2024 trading season with the acquisition of Romario Shepherd from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for 50 lakhs. Shepherd, who played just one match last season, will join the five-time IPL champions for the upcoming IPL season.

In a video shared by Mumbai Indian in X (formerly known as Twitter), Romario Shepherd mentioned his desire to follow in the footsteps of Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, who have performed exceptionally well for the Mumbai franchise.
“Well, joining MI Obviously, I’m really excited at the moment. Joining such a big franchise, one of the most successful franchises in IPL. Well, I would like to follow in the footsteps of Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard. Two guys who have done really, really well for MI,” Shepherd said.

Romario Shepherd was signed by the Lucknow Super Giants for his base price in the IPL 2023 auction. He played just one match last season of the IPL. He can contribute to the team with the bat in the lower middle order and can be handy with his bowling as well.

The 28-year-old has a remarkable strike rate of 153 in 31 T20Is. His skills and stats can significantly contribute to their campaign. His wealth of experience makes him a valuable addition to the Mumbai Indians as they aim for another IPL championship.
