The IPL 2025 is less than a week away, and a few of the franchises are awaiting fitness reports of some of their key players. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that apart from Jasprit Bumrah, Sanju Samson, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, and Avesh Khan are yet to get clearance from the NCA.

The IPL 2025 is all set to begin on 22nd March with a blockbuster clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, the franchises in Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Super Giants would be hoping for some good news.

Jasprit Bumrah is likely to play the third game for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025

All the eyes will be on Jasprit Bumrah, as the reports claimed that the pacer is all set to miss the first few games. The premier fast bowler is yet to attain full fitness from the back injury that he suffered in the last game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.

It is learned that Jasprit Bumrah will be missing the first two games of the IPL 2025 for Mumbai Indians. He is expected to join the team early but won't be traveling with the team to Chennai and Ahmedabad for the games against Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on the 23rd and 29th March, respectively.

Jasprit Bumrah is likely to play the third game for Mumbai Indians, which will be played at the Wankhede Stadium on 31st March. The game will be against Kolkata Knight Riders and the fast bowler is expected to get the clearance for this game.

Sanju Samson gets fitness clearance for batting, but no green signal for keeping

In the Rajasthan Royals camp, they are mulling over the fitness of skipper Sanju Samson. The keeper-batter faced a finger injury during the T20I series against England and, after that, underwent surgery for the same. The reports claimed that he has passed the fitness test, but he is yet to get clearance for keeping.

Sanju Samson will reportedly be undergoing some additional fitness tests in the coming days. If he clears that then he will be allowed to keep wickets in the IPL 2025. Otherwise, Rajasthan Royals can avail the services of Dhruv Jurel. The 2008 IPL winners will be opening their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 23rd March.

LSG await fitness report of Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan ahead of IPL 2025

The major concern is there in the Lucknow Super Giants camp. The Rishabh Pant-led side has no clarity over three of their key pacers in Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, and Mohsin Khan. Mayak has been recovering from the back stress injury while Avesh is undergoing rehab for knee cartilage. Both are undergoing rehabilitation.

On the other hand, there is no clarity about what is happening with Mohsin Khan. The left-arm pacer last featured in a domestic game on December 31 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. He bowled just 5.5 overs, and since then, there hasn't been any clarity on him.

The reports claimed that two of three pacers are likely to get the fitness clearance ahead of the Lucknow Super Giants' first game against Delhi Capitals. The match will be played in Visakhapatnam on March 24.
