Some players in the IPL history have been fortunate enough to win titles with more than one franchise and they generally tend to be players of high quality and high caliber. Those players do have the privilege of sharing the winning atmosphere into the next team they have been picked up.

Franchises generally prefer players from teams that have already tasted success and are aware of what it takes to be in a champion team. Mumbai Indians have been the most successful team in the IPL so far and will start the upcoming IPL as the defending champions. Here are 5 players who have won the title with more than one team.

Ambati Rayudu:

Ambati Rayudu stands tall in the IPL with four titles in his bank and has played for two of the most successful franchises in the history. Rayudu made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2010 and went on to be part of the winning campaigns in 2013,2015 and 2017 for Mumbai Indians.

He did not stop there and was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings in the auction 2018. He had a successful stint again for CSK and won his fourth IPL title overall in the 2018 edition. He was influential in both the franchises going on to win titles and has had immense impact in the team.

The veteran off spinner is part of the Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming IPL and has been part of the famous Mumbai Indians from the inaugral edition to the 2017 edition. He was then picked up CSK in 2018 and was part of the squad until the 2020 edition. Harbhajan has been part of four title winning campaigns.

He won three titles with Mumbai Indians in the years 2013,2015 and 2017 while won the 2018 season for the Chennai Super Kings. He has been one of the consistent performers in the IPL over the years and adds a lot of value into the team with his international experience.

Parthiv Patel recently retired from international cricket as well as IPL and the elegant left hander has been part of a lot of franchises including CSK,RCB, MI, SRH, DC, and KTK. Parthiv Patel is an experienced wicket keeper in India and has made a lot of useful contributions at the top of the order.

He was part of CSK in 2010 where he won the trophy and then moved to Mumbai Indians in 2015 and 2017 which brought him two more trophies under his belt. He has won three titles overall and is now serving as a scout recuriting staff for the Mumbai Indians.

Karn Sharma is one of the rare players to have won three successive IPL trophies for three different franchises. He was part of the winning campaign for SRH in 2016, for MI in 2017 and for CSK in 2018. He has been benched on most occasions now, but brings a lot to the team whenever he’s picked.

He is a handy batsman down the order and can tonk the ball too. He had a phenomenal start to his IPL career and earned a place in the Indian bowling setup for the Australian tour in 2014. He is still part of the CSK franchise and could play a crucial role this year for CSK as they have let go Piyush Chawla.

Tim Southee has been around the IPL circuit for a long time and has represented various franchises over the years. A lot of people might not know that he has been part of two championship winning campaigns. He did it for the CSK in 2010 and for the Mumbai Indians in 2017.

The right arm fast bowler has a knack of picking up wickets regularly but has been on the expensive side and had to be in the bench most often. He last played for the RCB in 2019 edition against Punjab and was released after that. He has a clever bowler and has got a lot of variations which might get him a buyer in the next auction.
