IPL Points Table 2026: Updated Standings, Orange Cap, Purple Cap After C vs PBKS Match 35

The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, it was a double header on Saturday, as in the first game of the double header, it was a northern derby as Delhi Capitals (DC) took on the Punjab Kings (PBKS). PBKS beat DC by 6 wickets, and the Shreyas Iyer-led side remained unbeaten after this match.
DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and elected to bat first, and both sides played with the same team after their respective wins from their last game. Despite the hot and humid conditions, the fans came in large numbers to support the home team.
IPL 2026: DC vs PBKS Match Result:
After being invited to bat first, KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka were off to a good start. However, the latter was dismissed after getting a start and could not convert it into a big score. Then KL Rahul and Nitish Rana stitched a partnership for the second wicket, as the former scored a 26-ball fifty in the match and looked in deft touch.
The two went absolutely berserk after bringing up their respective half-centuries. KL Rahul brought up his century in just 47 deliveries. It was a top knock and put the Capitals in the driver’s seat. The two 220-run partnership between them for the second wicket, and Nitish Rana scored 91 runs in the match.
Rahul did not slow down after his century as he finished with the score of 152 off
67 balls, and it is the highest ever score by an India batter in IPL history. DC posted a total of 264/2.
Coming out to chase, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh were off to a blistering start, as they brought 56 runs in three overs. The two batters went berserk in the chase. During the game, Lungi Ngidi suffered a fatal head injury and was rushed back to the hospital.
The two PBKS openers scored 126 runs for the first wicket. Priyansh Arya was the first batter to be dismissed on the score of 43 runs, and then Prabhsimran departed after making 76 runs. Then DC had a turn in the game with Cooper Connolly dismissed for 17 runs. After that, Nehal Wadhera and Shreyas Iyer stitched a partnership of 56 runs.
Shreyas Iyer was dropped twice by Karun Nair, and the PBKS captain brought his half-century in 26 balls. Shreyas remained unbeaten with the score of 71 runs and chased down the highest ever total in IPL history as they chased down the target of 265 runs with 7 balls to spare. This was a rampage by the PBKS batters.
