In match no.57 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the New Raipur. It was a rain-curtailed match as the match started an hour and fifteen minutes later than the scheduled time, but no overs were reduced as RCB won the game by 6 wickets.

Captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and elected to field first. They made two changes from their win against the Mumbai Indians (MI), with Venkatesh Iyer replacing Romario Shepherd, and Jacob Duffy coming in for Suyash Sharma. KKR made just one change, which was a forced one, as Varun Chakravarthy was ruled out, with Saurabh Dubey making his debut.

IPL 2026: RCB vs KKR Match Result:

After being put into bat first, KKR opener Finn Allen had a terrific start, scoring 18 off 8 deliveries before being dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar with a sensational delivery. Ajinkya Rahane, who looked in good touch, was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood on the score of 19 runs. After that, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green stitched up a partnership.

The two stitched a partnership of 68 runs as Cam Green scored an anchoring 32 runs, with Raghuvanshi bringing up his fifty in 32 balls, and kept the runs ticking in the middle overs. Rasikh Dar dismissed Green as the Bengaluru bowlers kept bowling tight lines.

Then Angkrish stitched a partnership with Rinku Singh of 76 runs, with the latter firing from one end, and scored 49 runs off 29 deliveries. Raghuvanshi finished off with the score of 71 runs and was run out on the final ball of the first innings as KKR posted 192/4 in their 20 overs against a quality bowling attack.

Coming out to chase, Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell had a cautious start in the first over. But it was all released in the second as they pounced 15 runs against Vaibhav Arora. After that, Kartik Tyagi gave the first breakthrough as Bethell, who got a start, was dismissed by a surprising bouncer and was back scoring 15 runs.

Virat Kohli, on a chase once again, delivered his best knock after two consecutive ducks, scoring a hundred in 58 balls, and gave his team the much-needed win and stayed unbeaten on the score of 105 runs.
