In the 48th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 14 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, April 29.

Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bowl first in the match. The Delhi Capitals bowlers were taken to the cleaners by the Kolkata Knight Riders batters initially, but they made a decent comeback.

Mitchell Starc (3), Vipraj Nigam (2), Axar Patel (2), and Dushmantha Chameera (1) were among the wickets for the home team, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44) and Rinku Singh (36) were the top two scorers for KKR. Also, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (26), Sunil Narine (27), and Ajinkya Rahane (26) made decent contributions.

Chasing the target, Faf du Plessis played a good knock of 62 runs off 45 balls, but he did not get the desired support from Abishek Porel, Karun Nair, and KL Rahul.

Also, Axar Patel played a fighting knock of 43 runs off 23 balls while Vipraj Nigam contributed 19-ball 38, but Delhi Capitals were restricted to 190/9.

For KKR, Sunil Narine emerged as the top performer as he bagged a three-wicket haul. Varun Chakravarthy, Vaibhav Arora, Anukul Roy and Andre Russell also chipped in with crucial wickets.
