Sunday, May 18, was a double-header day in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, and it saw the battle between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) as well as the clash between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT).
The RR vs PBKS, Match 59, was hosted by the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, and the DC vs GT, Match 60, was hosted by the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

In the first match of the day, Punjab Kings won the toss and elected to bat first. They rode on amazing batting performances from Nehal Wadhera (70 off 37), Shashank Singh (59* off 30), and Azmatullah Omarzai (21* off 9) to post a gigantic total of 219/5 on the board. Rajasthan Royals bowlers struggled overall, but Tushar Deshpande (2/37) emerged as the top performer.
Chasing the target, Yashasvi Jaiswal (50), Dhruv Jurel (53), and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (40) batted brilliantly, but RR were restricted to 209/7. Harpreet Brar (3), Marco Jansen (2), and Azmatullah Omarzai (2) dominated with the ball and helped Punjab Kings register a 10-run win.
Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to field first in the second match of the day. The GT bowling unit did a good job and restricted DC to 199/3 despite KL Rahul's sensational innings of 112* runs.
Chasing the target, Sai Sudharsan (108*) and Shubman Gill (93*) made the Delhi Capitals bowlers look clueless and showcased an exceptional batting performance to help GT complete the run chase in 19 overs and win by 10 wickets.

Ahead of the match on Sunday, May 18, Punjab Kings were in third position with 15 points in 11 matches and a Net Run Rate of 0.376, while Rajasthan Royals were in ninth spot with 6 points in 12 matches and a Net Run Rate of -0.718.
