In the 55th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) clashed with each other on Monday, May 5, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl first in the match. Captain Pat Cummins led the team from the front as he ran through the DC batting unit and picked three wickets and a catch in the powerplay to reduce the opposition team to 26/4.
Soon, DC were reduced to 62/6, before Tristan Stubbs (41*) and Ashutosh Sharma (41) staged a comeback and took their team to a total of 133/7.
The second innings of the match between the two teams was unable to get underway due to heavy rain, and the match was called off. With this, SRH have been knocked out of the playoffs race.
