The Australians also succumbed to the Indian bowling in their first innings as they were all dismissed on just 191 runs. R Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers for team India as he picked four wickets in the first innings. Team India walked out to bat with a decent lead in the third innings.
However, the shameful debacle came on Day 3 when the Indian batsmen looked out of place as the Australian pacers wrapped up team India on their lowest ever Test score. The Aussies then chased the target with 8 wickets in hand and gained an important lead of 1-0 in the four-match Test series.
