James Anderson admits his wife still hates Ben Stokes, Brendon McCullum over forced retirement

Former English paceman James Anderson retired from the longest format of the game after two decades of international cricket for England. However, now, after almost a year has passed since his retirement, he has made a massive revelation that has shocked cricket fans.
England are currently playing in the 5-match Test series against India, and James Anderson has been an eminent part of the series over the years as a player, as he has many golden memories to honour, for which the ECB, alongside the BCCI, renamed the trophy as the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy.
James Anderson's wife is angry with England—know why?
English paceman James Anderson played his final Test match against the West Indies back in July 2024, just 20 days before his 42nd birthday. Anderson, having made his debut for England back in 2002, when he came in as a 20-year-old paceman and slowly earned the status of England's greatest ever, over two decades in England.
However, now almost a year has passed since his retirement, and Anderson claims that he had no plans of retirement in his mind; it was the England management that moved on from his legacy. He also mentioned his wife being extremely angry about the fact.
Though he revealed he was not angry at England for the move, his wife is still angry to date over the step taken by the Indian management. However, she has been mentioned as his biggest supporter in international cricket.
He said, "I'll be honest, retirement was not in my head. I wasn't angry [being moved on by England] though my wife was; probably still is. But then she's always been my biggest supporter."

England honoured Sir James Anderson with the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy
Though at 42, Anderson was still fit and also found himself regularly amid wickets, as he is currently featuring in the franchise-level tournaments in England, with a recent stunning stint in the Vitality Blast T20 tournament.
He has also been picked by the Manchester Originals in the pre-season wildcard entry for the upcoming season of The Hundred. The England legend went down with 991 wickets in international cricket, the third highest in the history of the game.
English legend with 702 (Test), 269 (ODI) and 18 (T20I) wickets, was paired alongside the Indian great Sachin Tendulkar with 15921 (Test), 18426 (ODI) and 10 (T20I) runs, for renaming the famous Pataudi Trophy.
The two legends inaugurated the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy before the onset of the series, while the Pataudi legacy was also kept alive by the joint efforts of the ECB and the BCCI.
India and England contest for the first Anderson-Tendulkar title
India and England are currently playing in the inaugural season of the James Anderson-Sachin Tendulkar trophy, which was inaugurated this year. It replaced the Pataudi Trophy, which was started back in 2007.
England kicked off the new trophy with a win at Headingley, but was backed by India's stunning performance at Birmingham. England revived their chances with a comeback win at Lord's, and India are now trailing in the series 2-1.
With the remaining two matches left to be played at Manchester and The Oval, there are fair chances of any team winning the inaugural season.
