India's batting had a nightmare at Trent Bridge as England crushed them by a massive 125 runs in the third T20I on July 7. After handing embarrassment to India, England's star fast bowler Jofra Archer has taken a brutal dig at the BCCI as he highlighted the difference between bowling in England and the IPL.

Archer made it clear that bowling in England feels much easier for fast bowlers than bowling in India. The bowler stressed that English conditions are more natural for pacers, but IPL matches are played on flat batting pitches with small boundaries, where even a small mistake can go for a six. Amid this, Jofra Archer opens up on his rivalry with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

England's pace attack destroys India

England's bowling attack completely exposed India's batting. Chasing 202, the Men in Blue failed to show any fight, and they were bowled out for just 76 runs in only 11.4 overs. It was India's biggest defeat by runs in T20I cricket history and handed England a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.

Archer played a key role in England’s massive win over India. The fiery speedster picked up three wickets and kept India under pressure from the start with his pace and bounce. On the other hand, Josh Tongue made things even worse for India by breaking the backbone of the batting order and taking four wickets at Trent Bridge.

Jofra Archer takes a dig at IPL after India's record defeat

After the match, Jofra Archer was happy to return to "normal" conditions after bowling on the "easy wickets and smaller boundaries" during the IPL. The pacer explained that he does not need to change too much while bowling in England, as the conditions allow him to bowl on a good length.

But in the IPL, bowlers have to think much more because the wickets are very good for batting and the boundaries are much shorter, as explained by the former England fast bowler.

Jofra Archer said at the post-match conference: “I think it goes back to normal here. You try to bowl the ball straight on a good length. Whereas over there, because the wickets are so easy and the boundaries are so small, you have to be really, really particular. Here, I feel your margin for error is a little bit bigger.”

'200 isn't safe in IPL': Jofra Archer

Archer also felt that England's total of 201 was always going to be difficult to chase on the Trent Bridge pitch. He said things are very different from the IPL, where even a score above 200 is sometimes not enough to win.

He further added, “At the IPL, sometimes 200 isn't safe. With 200 on the board on that wicket, I don't want to say we were confident, but I felt it would have taken a really special innings to chase it down. I'm just glad everybody chipped in.

Everybody who bowled got wickets today, so it was a complete bowling performance. The Indian batters have found conditions in the UK far more challenging.”

Jofra Archer reveals the real reason behind India's batting collapse

Archer stressed that England bowlers bowled with good discipline and followed their plans well, and that’s why they managed to trouble the Indian batters, not just because of the extra pace.

He signed off by saying, “No, not really. I think we both bowled pretty well in Manchester. Neither of us really got the wickets to show for it there, so we're just glad we got something today. I don't think it was that pacey, to be honest. It may have been a little quicker, but there was a strong wind, so honestly, I didn't really feel that out of hand.”
