The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosted the third and final ODI of the series between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Jos Buttler-led England National Cricket Team on Wednesday, February 12.
Jos Buttler's Team England played poorly in the match and allowed Team India to register their second-biggest win in ODI history over the Three Lions.

England suffer a whitewash in ODI series
England National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. They made one change to their playing XI by bringing in Tom Banton for Jamie Overton.
India National Cricket Team, on the other hand, made three colossal, of which one was forced. Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, and Kuldeep Yadav were included in the playing XI in place of Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, and Varun Chakravarthy, who had a sore calf.
England picked up the big wicket of Rohit Sharma early on in the innings, but after that, nothing went in their favor. Shubman Gill took the English bowlers to the cleaners and smashed a brilliant ton. Also, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer hit brilliant fifties
Adil Rashid, meanwhile, shined with a four-wicket haul, while Mark Wood bagged two wickets. Saqib Mahmood and Joe Root also contributed with one wicket each.
Talking about the run chase, the Three Lions were awful with the bat. Till the openers were playing, England looked in the game, but after their dismissal, things fell apart. It never looked like Jos Buttler & Co. would be able to pull off a chase, and they got bowled out for 214 runs in 34.2 overs to face a 142-run loss and a whitewash.
It went in similar fashion to the whole tour - Jos Buttler
Speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, Jos Buttler said their approach with the bat is the right one, but they have failed to execute it properly.
Jos Buttler added that they were completely outplayed by a great Team India, who challenged them in all the matches on the tour.
"It went in similar fashion to the whole tour (talking about the batting). We were outplayed by a fantastic team. Our approach (with bat) is a right one, just that we haven't executed well," Jos Buttler said.
"They put a great score on the board. Shubman played a great innings. We got off to a great start again but familiar story again for us. Need to find a way to bat longer. We were up against a really good side that keeps challenging," Jos Buttler added.
England Failed To Perform In Previous ODI vs India As Well
England did not deliver a good performance in the second ODI against India in Cuttack and faced a 4-wicket defeat. Despite setting up a challenging 305-run target for the opposition, the Three Lions finished up on the losing side as Rohit Sharma shined for the hosts.
Winning the toss and batting first, England got off to a strong start with Phil Salt (26) and Ben Duckett (65) adding 81 runs opening stand. Also, the modern-day batting great Joe Root (69) played a good knock, ensuring England stayed on track for a big total.
However, the middle order batters Harry Brook (31) and Jos Buttler (34) failed to convert their starts into big scores, and in the end, Liam Livingstone (41 off 32) played an attacking innings to take his team to a challenging total.
In the bowling department, England struggled against Indian batters, in particular against Rohit Sharma. Jamie Overton (2/27) and Liam Livingstone (1/29) were the only bowlers who found some success. Adil Rashid (1/78) dismissed Kohli but was taken to the cleaners by other batters. Also, Gus Atkinson (1/65) managed to remove Hardik Pandya, but the efforts of the bowlers weren't enough as India completed the run-chase with 33 balls remaining.
