Kane Williamson Recovering Well From Hamstring Injury, Will Take Part In Full Training In Few Days

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson who missed the final game for Sunrisers Hyderabad owing to hamstring injury concerns has revealed that he is recovering well from the injury. Kane Williamson is one of the important players in the New Zealand lineup and he offers a lot with the bat and it’s, not about his captaincy alone.

Williamson off late has struck with a lot of injuries and he is in a period of time where he needs to keep focussing on fitness. He could easily start missing out on games due to injury concerns and it is something he should be careful of. He must enough have rest games in the tight schedule for New Zealand.

“We’ve Still Got Plenty Of Time” – Kane Williamson Confident Of Recovering Soon

Kane Williamson mentioned that the hamstring injury concerns during the IPL was minor and is progressing nicely. He reckoned that he will back to full training in few days time and felt that there is enough time to recover before the first game against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup.

The hamstring is minor, it’s progressing nicely, so not too many concerns and we’ve still got plenty of time,” he said. “So, yeah, hopefully in the next sort of few days or so, I’ll be taking basically full part in the training. So, it’s all good.”

Kane Williamson Reveals The Status Of Injured Elbow

Williamson mentioned that the elbow injury has been one of his frustrations as it has taken a long to recover completely and added that it is coming good after the World Test Championship. He also reckoned that he will get to 100 per cent fit in a few days’ time.

“The elbow – it has just been a bit of a slow-burner. Yeah, it has been quite frustrating for a long period of time. However, it has definitely improved a bit over the last two months I’ve had after the World Test Championship.

“In rehab, it has definitely seemed to move forward, which is refreshing, but still a little bit of time to get back to a 100 (per cent), but it’s definitely better.” He added

Kane Williamson couldn’t take Sunrisers Hyderabad into the playoffs of IPL 2021 and he will be hoping to have a better T20 World Cup for New Zealand through his leadership.
