Kolkata Knight Riders take on Mumbai Indians in their next match in IPL 2024. This is their 10th match of the season and the first meeting between the two sides this season.
KKR are placed second on the points table heading into this season and has the best NRR. They won against DC in a 154-run chase with 21 balls to spare. Meanwhile, MI lost their previous game to LSG in Lucknow.
The start provided by Phil Salt and Sunil Narine has so far worked wonders for KKR. The batters who have followed have been able to maintain that momentum and churn out wins. Varun Chakravarthy's spell against DC was the biggest positive for KKR in the last match. He took 3/16 and prized out the wickets of Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs.
Varun and Narine have now taken 11 wickets each in this year's IPL. Young pacers Harshit Rana has taken 11 while Vaibhav Arora has taken nine. With the spinners bowling well KKR are looking like a good unit.
Harshit has been handed a one-match ban following his celebrations in the last match against DC. It will be interesting to see who replaces him in the XI. Barring him, KKR would like to keep the same side as Nitish Rana's fitness update is yet unknown.
