Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be hosting Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the 53rd game of IPL 2025. The KKR vs RR match is scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday (May 4).

KKR are coming into this game after a fine 14-run win over Delhi Capitals. Batting first, the defending champions scored 204/9 in the allotted 20 overs. With the ball, KKR restricted DC to 190/9 and registered a much-needed victory.

KKR are currently at the 7th spot in the points table and will be eyeing another win to keep alive their slim chances of making it to the playoffs. The three-time champions have already defeated RR once this season and will be fancying their chances again. With KKR all set for the match, we are taking a look at the KKR Playing 11.

KKR Playing 11 vs Rajasthan Royals- IPL 2025, Match 53:

Openers: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Sunil Narine

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine are set to be the openers in the KKR Playing 11 for the upcoming game against RR. Narine delivered a Player of the Match performance in the last game and will be looking to impress once again.

Gurbaz and Narine added 48 runs in just 3 overs for the first wicket and will look to give their team a flying start once again. Gurbaz scored 26 runs off just 12 balls with the help of 5 fours and a six. On the other hand, Narine scored 27 runs, including 2 fours and as many sixes. With the ball, Narine picked up 3 wickets that helped KKR turn things around and win the match.

Middle-order: Ajinkya Rahane (c), Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Andre Russell, Rovman Powell

Captain Ajinkya Rahane got the start but could not convert it into a big score. He scored 26 runs off 14 balls before being dismissed by his Delhi Capitals counterpart Axar Patel. Rahane will be keen to lead his team from the front in the upcoming game and score big against his former team.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi impressed with the bat again as the youngster was KKR's top scorer. He scored 44 runs off 32 balls and will be eyeing another good outing with the bat. Venkatesh Iyer's struggle continued, but the middle-order batsman is expected to retain his spot in the KKR Playing 11.

The southpaw scored just 7 runs and will be desperate to score big in the upcoming match. Rinku Singh got some much-needed runs under his belt and will look to build on them. He scored 36 runs off 25 balls. Andre Russell scored 17 runs while Rovman Powell was out for 5.

Bowlers: Harshit Rana, Anukul Roy, Varun Chakaravarthy

The KKR Playing 11 is likely to have one pacer and two spinners. Harshit Rana is set to be the pacer, while Vaibhav Arora is expected to be used as an Impact Player, just like the last game. Andre Russell is also a reliable fast-bowling option.

Arora picked up 1 wicket for 19 runs in the last game while Rana wicket wicketless and conceded 49 runs in his 4 overs. On the other hand, Russell claimed one wicket for 22 runs in 2 overs.

Varun Chakaravarthy and Anukul Roy are expected to be the two spinners in the KKR Playing 11, with Sunil Narine being the other spin-bowling option. Chakaravarthy picked up 2 wickets in the last game while Roy claimed one wicket.
