Former India cricketer S Sreesanth lauded Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh’s knock against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 68th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. S Sreesanth said that Rinku Singh has the ability to build innings and capitalize on opportunities to score boundaries.
Rinku Singh almost guided the Kolkata Knight Riders to a sensational victory over the Lucknow Super Giants, but they fell short by one run in the chase. The southpaw scored 36 runs in the last two overs. He smashed two sixes and a four off the last three balls when 18 runs were needed from the last three balls of the match.

Builds His Innings And Waits For His Opportunities – S Sreesanth
Speaking on Star Sports after the match, S Sreesanth said that Rinku Singh can be the next big thing for the Indian National Cricket Team. Sreesanth pointed out that Rinku played similar innings in the ongoing tournament.
“Think about from the Indian cricket point of view, what a cricketer what a finisher we have got. Not just for hitting sixes, a guy who builds his innings and waits for his opportunities,” Sreesanth told Star Sports.
“Rinku just missed by just one run. Rinku Singh is not just a one-match wonder, he has been doing it consistently,” he added.

Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya hailed Rinku for his outstanding batting performance. Ravi Bishnoi described Rinku’s batting as “unbelievable,” while Krunal said that there was a lot of pressure on bowlers in the death overs.
“The way Rinku was batting, every ball there was a fear of the match getting away. The way he’s batted this season is unbelievable. Haven’t seen batting like that,” Ravi Bishnoi said.
“Rinku has been special this year, every game when he’s there you can’t take it easy. Today he showed it again, but it is a high-pressure situation while bowling death overs to execute our plans,” Krunal Pandya said.
Rinku Singh scored 67 runs off 33 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes. The 25-year-old ended the season with 474 runs in 14 matches, with an impressive average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52. The two-time IPL champions were eliminated from the tournament after a 1-run loss against the Lucknow team.
