Indian opening batsman KL Rahul, Australian pace bowling all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and uncapped Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi are all set to join the new Lucknow franchise for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
According to the reports of ESPNcricinfo, KL Rahul has been paid INR 15 crore, Marcus Stoinis has been paid INR 11 crore and Ravi Bishnoi has been paid INR 4 crore, which means the Lucknow franchise will enter the IPL 2022 mega auction with a purse of INR 60 crore.

Former Punjab Kings captain Rahul was the first acquisition of the new Lucknow franchise, which was bought for INR 7090 crore (USD 940 million approx.) by the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group.
Rahul, who has been one of the best batters in the cash-rich league since 2018, left the Punjab Kings franchise because he wanted a change and he was granted the release by the management.
Rahul started his IPL career in 2014 with Sunrisers Hyderabad, later he joined Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2016 and was bought for 11 crores by the Punjab franchise in the 2018 auction. Overall he scored 2548 runs for the Punjab franchise at an average of 56.62 in just 55 innings.
Marcus Stoinis And Ravi Bishnoi To Join Lucknow Franchise
Star Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has also been picked by the franchise ahead of the auction. Stoinis was released by the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 as they retained Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel.
Stoinis started his IPL career with the Delhi franchise in 2015 and then he was also part of the Punjab franchise and Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow franchise will be his 4th IPL team.
Meanwhile, uncapped leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi is one of the most talented young leg-spinners in the scene. He was bought by Punjab in the 2020 IPL auction for INR 2 crore and in that season he bagged 12 wickets for the team.
Also, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and Indian opening batsman Shubman Gill are all set to join the new Ahmedabad franchise for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
The Ahmedabad franchise will be owned by the CVC capital. Notably, CVC Capital successfully bid with Rs 5,625 crore for Ahmedabad.
