The highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia is scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19. Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody has selected his combined India-Australia playing XI.
The Indian team and the Australian team are meeting for the second time in the final match of ODI World Cup history. The Australian cricket team emerged victorious when they faced the Indian cricket team in the ODI World Cup final match in Johannesburg back in 2003.
The Men in Blue are the only undefeated team in the marquee tournament so far, having secured 10 victories in matches. On the other hand, the Men in Yellow started their World Cup campaign with two consecutive losses but bounced back to win the remaining games.
Tom Moody Picks Rohit Sharma And David Warner As Openers
Tom Moody took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share the combined India-Australia playing XI ahead of the summit clash. The former cricketer named in-form batters Rohit Sharma and David Warner as the designated openers in the lineup, strengthening the top order.

Tom Moody Selects Ravindra Jadeja As All-Rounder
Tom Moody selected Ravindra Jadeja as the only all-rounder in the playing XI. He picked Mitchell Starc, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Adam Zampa as genuine bowlers. Shami is the leading wicket-taker, taking 23 wickets in just 6 innings at an average of 9.13.
The former all-rounder excluded Australian batters Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne from the team. He left out Australian skipper Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood. Moody also omitted wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, a notable exclusion from the Indian squad.
