Fans on Twitter reacted after Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) thumped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 8 wickets in the 34th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the two teams took place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Lucknow Super Giants registered their 4th win of the Indian Premier League as they batted and bowled tremendously well in the game against Chennai Super Kings. They won the toss and opted to field first and it was a sensational effort from them.

Lucknow Super Giants picked early wickets with the ball and reduced Chennai Super Kings to 90/5. However, after that, Ravindra Jadeja (57*) and Mooen Ali (30) played magnificently well and brought their team back into the game at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

In the end, MS Dhoni played a brutal innings of 28 runs off just 9 balls. Based on his knock, ended with a total of 176/6. For Lucknow Super Giants, Krunal Pandya was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/16.

In the chase, KL Rahul and Quinton de stole the show with their magnificent batting performance. They took the game away from the Chennai Super Kings as they added 134 runs for the opening stand at the Ekana Stadium.

Rahul scored 82 runs while De Kock ended with 54 runs. Nicholas Pooran in the the end played a staggering innings of 23 runs in just 12 balls. Lucknow Super Giants chased the target with 8 wickets in hand and also had 1 over to spare, bagging important two points in the league and grabbing the 5th spot on the points table.
