Mayank Agarwal Rushed To Hospital After Being Hit On The Head During Irani Cup 2022

India National Cricket Team opening batsman Mayank Agarwal was rushed to a hospital after being hit on the head during the ongoing Irani Cup 2022 clash between Saurashtra and the Rest of India at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on Sunday, October 2.
The Irani Cup, which is played between the Ranji Trophy winners and the Rest of India, is witnessing a one-off match between the Rest of India and 2019-20 Ranji Trophy champions Saurashtra in Rajkot. Notably, the match between Saurashtra and the Rest of India was postponed due to Covid-19 in 2020.

On Day 2 of the Irani Cup 2022 clash, opening batsman Mayank Agarwal got hit on the head by a throw just before the start of Saurashtra’s second innings and he was rushed to a hospital for precautionary scans, reported Sportstar.
“Mayank Agarwal has left for the hospital for a precautionary scan after being hit on the head with a throw just before the start of Saurashtra’s second innings. Precautionary is the key word over here,” sports journalist Amol Karhadkar tweeted.

Scan Reports Of Mayank Agarwal Are Normal
The sports journalist Amol Karhadkar also confirmed that Mayank Agarwal has not suffered any serious injury and his scan reports are normal.

Mayank, who has played 21 Tests and 5 ODIs for India National Cricket Team, scored 11 runs in the first innings before being dismissed by Chetan Sakariya.
Talking about the match, the Rest of India won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Rest of India pacers Mukesh Kumar, Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen decimated the Saurashtra batting unit and bundled them out for just 98. Mukesh bagged 4 wickets in the first innings while Umran Malik and Kuldeep bagged three wickets each.
In their first innings, the Rest of India posted 374 runs with the help of in-form Sarfaraz Khan’s yet another century in domestic cricket and skipper Hanuma Vihari’s brilliant 82-run knock. At the end of Day 2, Saurashtra were 49/2.
