Michael Vaughan And Wasim Jaffer Engage In Twitter Banter After India's Test Series Loss Against South Africa

Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer and former England captain Michael Vaughan once again engaged in a fun Twitter banter after India’s Test series defeat against South Africa.

Virat Kohli-led India lost the 3-match Test series against Dean Elgar-led South Africa by 1-2. India won the first match in a dominating manner by 113 runs at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. However, India faced two consecutive defeats against the hosts at the Wanderers, Johannesburg by 7 wickets and at the Newlands, Cape Town by 7 wickets.

Also, with the series loss India’s Test series losing streak in South African soil continued. Notably, India have never won a Test series in South Africa.

Meanwhile, after India’s loss former England captain Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to taunt Jaffer. He wrote on Twitter:

“Evening @WasimJaffer14 !! Just checking you are ok.”

Meanwhile, the Former Indian batter came up with an epic response to Vaughan’s tweet and he mentioned that India are still leading by 2-1 against England in the 5-match Test series.

“Haha all good Michael, don’t forget we are still leading you 2-1,” wrote Wasim Jaffer

Notably, the Indian team performed brilliantly in the England tour in 2021. The first Test match of the series ended in a draw after rain played spoilsport.

India won the second game by 151 runs, England won the third Test by an innings and 76 runs, India won the 4th Test by 157 runs and the 5th and last Test match of the series was postponed after the Covid-19 scare in the Indian camp and the final test of the series will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham on 1st July 2022.
