Mitchell Marsh, the Australian skipper, is once again up and running, leading his team's batting innings at Sydney after having opted to bat first.
In the 14th over, when Marsh struck Axar firmly towards the cover region, the ball was obstructed by Indian veteran Virat Kohli, who looked to be troubled by the pace with which the ball travelled towards him.
India is taking on Australia in the third ODI at Sydney. For the Indian team, this might be a dead rubber; however, for many Indian players, this is their final opportunity to shine under the Australian conditions.
A player who would be eyeing this final match of the series would be Virat Kohli, since the Indian legend is yet to open his account of runs in the series.

As Mitchell Marsh batted firmly, captain Shubman Gill introduced spinner Axar Patel into the attack to restrict the free flow of runs.
Patel, who is much quicker through the air, made Mitchell Marsh cramp for room and hence checked the flow of runs.
In the second ball of the over, Marsh got a juicy full delivery outside the off-stump and almost muscled it towards covers; however, he was obstructed by Virat Kohli, who got hit by the ball on his arms.
The travelling ball might have made an impact, as Kohli pointed his hand towards Marsh, cursing him for hitting the ball so hard.

Mitchell Marsh survived an LBW call from Axar Patel's first over
When Axar was introduced to restrict the flow of runs against Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh, who struggles against spinners, especially the ones who do not offer much flight, forcing him to remain on the backfoot, Patel did just what was expected from him.
In the third ball of his first over, Axar darted one ball at 90 kmph, and Mitchell Marsh missed his attempted sweep as the ball angled towards the wicket. The Indian team erupted in a loud appeal, as KL Rahul advised skipper Gill to refer to the third umpire.
The ball hit the batter near the abdomen, and the DRS showed that it made an impact under the umpire's call with the wickets hitting. The decision was not overturned, and Marsh survived the first time.
Axar eventually had the better of the Australian skipper
Having survived in Axar's previous over, the joy was short-lived for the Australian skipper, as Patel came back with his second over to hand India the much-awaited breakthrough. Patel bowled another slider around the off-stump as the ball came in angling towards the stumps.
The length seemed perfect, as Marsh had no chance to cut that ball or play the back-foot drive. The ball sneaked past the edge and crashed onto the stumps. The set batter Marsh departed for a well-made 41, and India looked well in control of the game. Virat Kohli, the legendary batter, erupted in joy as he ran towards the bowler to celebrate.
