Mohammad Hafeez takes a brutal dig at PCB after not being invited to the board meeting
Former Pakistan allrounder Mohammad Hafeez has taken a brutal dig at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after the recent meeting organized by the PCB to discuss the team's dismal T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. The meeting involved the members of the PCB and several former and current cricketers of Pakistan.
The meeting was chaired by PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi on July 9 at a hotel on Mall Road, Lahore. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the future of Pakistan's cricket and take the suggestions of former cricketers, which can help in improving the structure of cricket in the country.
It is believed that more than fifteen former and current international Test cricketers took part in the meeting and offered various recommendations which can help in improving the domestic structure in Pakistan. But one name who was a surprise absentee from the meeting is Mohammad Hafeez.

Mohammad Hafeez has slammed the PCB for not inviting him and not taking his suggestions seriously. The former Pakistan captain had earlier raised concerns about Pakistan's lack of fitness and discipline, which he wanted to improve as the team director.
Sports journalist Aalia Rasheed had posted on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the dire state of Pakistan cricket which Mohammad Hafeez tried to improve as a team director.

Pakistan had poor results under Team Director Mohammad Hafeez
Mohammad Hafeez was the Director of Cricket in Pakistan a few months ago. After Pakistan's poor performance in the ODI World Cup 2023, where they failed to qualify for the semi-finals, Hafeez was appointed for the role.
The former Pakistan captain even traveled with the national squad to Australia for the Test series as an interim coach. Pakistan lost the series 0-3 to the home side. After poor stints in Australia and New Zealand, Hafeez was sacked from the role in February 2024.
