Pakistan National Cricket Team batter Mohammad Rizwan made a massive gain in the ICC Test rankings. This comes after his sensational performance with the bat in the recently concluded Test match against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, which was played in Rawalpindi.

Mohammad Rizwan slammed a magnificent ton and ended the innings with an unbeaten 171 runs. He was one of the major reasons behind the Pakistan National Cricket Team posting a big first-innings total on the board, having lost early wickets in the game in the form of big names.

After his valiant knock in the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, Mohammad Rizwan achieved the career-best ranking in the longest format of the game.

The keeper-batter climbed seven spots up to grab the 10th position in the rankings by the International Cricket Council.

While Mohammad Rizwan made a massive gain, it wasn't great news for his teammate Babar Azam. The premier batter, after failing in the two innings against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, was dropped six places to fall from third place to ninth in the ICC Test rankings for batters.

Babar Azam is now just six rating points ahead of Mohammad Rizwan on the updated rankings for Test batters.

On the other hand, Saud Shakeel also got rewarded for his ton against Bangladesh as he moved to the 13th overall spot in the rankings based on his 141-run knock in Rawalpindi.

Another centurion from the Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test, Mushfiqur Rahim, who played an innings of 191 runs off 341 balls, also made substantial gains. He achieved a career-high rating as he gained seven spots to move to 17th spot in the ICC Test rankings.

Apart from Mohammad Rizwan, Harry Brook makes a gain in ICC Test rankings

The players who were part of the England vs Sri Lanka first Test were also rewarded for their performances. The major gainer was English batter Harry Brook, who slammed a vital half-century and registered scores of 56 and 32 during that Old Trafford match.

Harry Brook moved three places up to fourth overall. He surpassed Pakistan's Babar Azam, Australia's Steve Smith and India's Rohit Sharma in the rankings.

Apart from him, Sri Lanka players Dinesh Chandimal (up four places to 23rd) and Kamindu Mendis (up eight rungs to 36th) and England's Jamie Smith (up 22 to 42nd) also made gains.

In terms of ICC Test rankings for bowlers, Chris Woakes, after his impressive performance, moved up 4 spots to bag 16th position. While Sri Lanka's Asitha Fernando climbed up 10 spots to 17th. Naseem Shah moved to 33rd rank while England's Gus Atkinson jumped up four places to 42nd.

The ICC T20I rankings also saw massive changes following the conclusion of the West Indies vs South Africa series. Nicholas Pooran climbed up three spots to ninth, and Shai Hope moved up 32 places to equal 40th rank in the T20I rankings for batters. South Africa's Reeza Hendricks rose 4 spots to bag the 13th spot.

In terms of bowling, Akeal Hosein improved four spots while Gudakesh Motie gained 10 spots as the duo bagged second and third places, respectively, on the list for T20I bowlers.
