Bangladesh National Cricket Team all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan won't be facing any troubles when he returns home after the ongoing India Test series. BCB is confident that the player won't be harassed by the government despite being accused in a murder case.

Amid the anti-government protests in Bangladesh, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was accused in the murder case. The news shook the entire cricket fraternity as it was learned that the former captain of the team was among 147 accused people who are associated in connection with the case.

Shakib was accused of the death of a garment worker, Mohammed Rubel. The victim's father, Rafiqul Islam, filed the case, and the Bangladesh National Cricket Team all-rounder is the number 28 accused in the FIR filed in connection to the alleged murder.

But during the murder, which took place on 5th August, Shakib wasn't there in the country. He was playing in the Global T20 Canada league in Brampton as he captained Bangla Tigers Mississauga in the tournament, and since then, he hasn't visited home even once.

After that, he traveled to Pakistan for a Test series, then played a county match for Surrey, and is now in India for another Test series. But after the ongoing series, Shakib Al Hasan will be returning home and with murder charges on him, things won't be easy for him.

We believe the interim government has made its position very clear on Shakib Al Hasan - Shahriar Nafees

However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board in charge of cricket operations, Shahriar Nafees, ensured that they have talked to higher authorities and they are very clear related to Shakib Al Hasan. He mentioned that the government doesn't want to harass anyone unfairly.

He also mentioned that the government is very clear on Shakib, and if fit, the all-rounder will be taking part in the Test series against South Africa National Cricket Team. Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, he explained:

"I think the honourable chief adviser, law adviser and sports adviser have spoken very clearly regarding Shakib Al Hasan. There is a clear message from the Bangladesh government that no one will be harassed unfairly in the cases that have been filed.

"We believe the interim government has made its position very clear on Shakib. Unless there is an injury problem or a selection-related issue, I don't see any reason as of now why Shakib Al Hasan should not play in Bangladesh in the home series."

Shakib was last seen in the action during the first Test against India. He didn't have a great outing as he bowled 8 overs in the first innings and couldn't take a single wicket. In the second innings, he was taken to the cleaners by Rishabh Pant he finished with his most expensive match figures of his Test career.

Shakib was the top run scorer for his team in the first innings, as he scored 32 runs off 64 balls before getting out to an untimely reverse sweep and fell early in the second innings. He would want to make an impact in the second game, which begins on 27th September.
