Ireland players Harry Tector, Gareth Delany, and George Dockrell produced one of the best efforts on the boundary ropes in the game against the Netherlands. The match between the two teams took place on Sunday (May 19) at the Hague in the Tri-nation T20I series.
In what was a nail-biter between the teams, Ireland clinched the match by the margin of 1-run. They were magnificent with the bat, ball, and field, which eventually helped them to win the game by the barest of margins against the Netherlands National Cricket Team.
One of the main highlights of the game was the fielding effort by Harry Tector, Gareth Delany, and George Dockrell to save the crucial boundary for the team. Netherlands opener Michael Levitt played a cut shot on a back-of-length delivery from Mark Adair in the first over of the innings.
The ball went in the gap and it seemed that it would be an easy boundary. However, three Ireland fielders sprinted in full flow after the ball. Harry Tector was the one who put in the first effort as he dived and pushed the ball back in the air.
He showed great presence of mind as he pushed the ball just before touching the boundary ropes. Gareth Delany, who was just behind him caught the ball and volleyed back the airborne ball inside the rope. The ball was taken by George Dockrell, who threw it back, saving 1 run for the team.

The effort proved out be vital for the team as Ireland managed to win the game by just 1 run. Chasing the target, the Netherlands had a great start to their innings as Micheal Levitt (19) and Max ODowd (33) gave a vital start to the team but after that, the Dutch side struggled to get going.
Bas de Leede (32) and Tim Pringle (35*) gave their best with the bat but couldn't take their team home. Ireland was sensational with the ball with Fioon Hand being the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 3/18. Mark Adair and Curtis Campher picked two scalps each.
Lorcan Tucker and Mark Adair shine with the bat for Ireland against the Netherlands
Earlier with the bat, Ireland didn't have a great outing with the bat. Asked to bat first, they could manage just 150 runs as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. However, thanks to Lorcan Tucker and Mark Adair they posted a decent total on the board.
Lorcan Tucker, who came to bat at No.3, played a vital innings of 40 runs before Mark Adair finished the innings on high. He ended with the knock of 49 runs off 24 balls and made sure Ireland ended with fighting total on the board. His effort powered the team to a total of 150 runs.
