New Zealand will start preparations for the 2027 World Cup, marking a significant reshuffle after the recent ICC event. Adi Ashok, who debuted in T20Is against the UAE, is set to play in the final two matches of the series, with Ish Sodhi taking the field in the opening game.
Tom Latham has been named the captain of the squad, with Kane Williamson rested. The squad includes seven players from the 2023 World Cup. The selectors rested senior players like Tim Southee, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Glenn Phillips, and Devon Conway.

“Adi and Will are both still fresh to domestic cricket but have been impressive in their early efforts and stepped up well this year in the New Zealand A matches against Australia A.”
