Former West Indies player Nicholas Pooran, who announced his early retirement from international cricket, has picked his all-time favorite T20I XI. He has snubbed the likes of Rohit Sharma, David Warner, and the great MS Dhoni from the team.

The veteran Indian duo had also led India to respective titles in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and 2024. He had rather picked the likes of former Royal Challengers Bangalore opening duo Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli.
Chris Gayle boasts the record as the highest run-getter in the history of T20 cricket with 14562 runs and 22 centuries throughout his career. Virat Kohli remains IPL's highest run-getter with 8661 runs and India's second-highest in T20Is with 4188 runs.
Nicholas Pooran picks himself among the finishers in his T20 XI
Two of the greatest batters the format has ever seen, English batting legend Jos Buttler and South African legendary batter AB de Villiers, were sorted in the middle order. The former is the fourth all-time run-getter in T20Is, as he has amassed 3869 runs with a strike rate of nearly 150.
Jos Buttler, as the captain, led them to a title in the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup. ABD, on the other hand, remains one of the star performers in the IPL, and the great entertainer has a record of having won 25 Player of the Match Awards.
