On The Basis Of Recent Performances, Deepak Chahar Is Ahead Of Bhuvneshwar Kumar- Irfan Pathan

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan reckons that Deepak Chahar will be more favoured compared to Bhuvneshwar Kumar when it comes to recent performances. The Indian team is slowly building a team for the T20 World Cup and Chahar is ahead, as per Irfan.
The one thing that has changed the way people look at Chahar is his tremendous improvement in batting. He has shown he is more than capable with the bat and can play a handy cameo at the back end of the innings.

“On the basis of their recent performances, I believe Deepak Chahar is slightly ahead. Yes, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been doing well in the past few games, but when it comes to batting, Chahar has improved a lot. On the basis of that, I think he is ahead of Bhuvi,” Irfan said on Star Sports.
“Avesh Khan should receive the same backing as Siraj” – Irfan Pathan
Irfan also added that budding youngster Avesh Khan should receive the same kind of support that Mohammed Siraj did. Avesh is an excellent bowler who is still raw and will take time to develop his game and fulfil his potential. During this phase, he needs someone to guide him through.
“When you have those bad days, it is important that your captain and the team management backs you. When we talk about Mohammed Siraj, Virat Kohli backed him a lot.”

“I would go to the extent of saying that Kohli should be credited for the confidence with which Siraj bowls in international cricket. So yes, players need that backing. And I believe Avesh Khan should receive the same backing as Siraj because he has that talent,” Irfan also mentioned.
