Pakistan take on visitors England in the second T20I in Karachi on September 22. They lost the first T20I and will be looking to level the series in the next game. This is a seven-match series with the first four games in Karachi and the final three in Lahore. This T20I series is a dress rehearsal for both teams for the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Pakistan were 85/1 in the first 10 overs in the first T20I. They were restricted to 158/7 in their 20 overs. Skipper Babar Azam lamented his side not capitalising in the final 10 overs in their batting innings.

“We utilized the batting powerplay well, but we let the momentum slip after the 10th over. Credit to their bowlers, but we were not up to the mark and we didn’t get the partnerships. They worked out the conditions well, but our batters should have done better. We’re trying different combinations before the World cup, we’ll test our bench strength and then go to the tournament with our best team” said Babar.

Heading into the second game, the batters need to give the bowlers a good total to defend in the bating-friendly conditions in Karachi. None of the batters barring Rizwan looked set on the wicket. Chasing has been easier at the venue because of the dew. It is expected to be the norm in the rest of the games as well. In this article, we predict Pakistan’s playing XI against England for the second T20I.
